Personal:

Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon.  I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out.  Moved from Utah to Texas in October 2016 with my wife and 3 month old babe.

Ran up Willow Creek and Mcleod, then back to work.  Kept things easy, just feelin out the calf situation.  Gonna try to start running daily, just shorter distances and see how it goes.

glad you could get a run in today. i'm on the short distance plan as well right now. just going with the flow until my body wants to train again :)

Yeah, I've never really had a pain like this and I think it's from too much faster running and trail running(lots of big climbs) after the marathon. Just gonna do a lot of x-training and snowboarding until ramping up the mileage again in late January to get ready for SLC in April.

Are you running the SLC half again next year?

yes -- planning on SLC half. i always say i'm not going to do it, but when the time comes i know i will. it's really fun to race through all my training routes. :)
