Personal:

Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon. I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out. Moved from Utah to Texas in October 2016 with my wife and 3 month old babe.

After a month of long nights and preparations lacy and I have relocated to Dallas Texas to be closer to family. Gonna be a huge change from Utah but after 14 years in the great state it feels pretty good to try something different. Was able to keep my job thru the end of the year so am very greatful to have one less thing to worry about. Stoked to be with lacy again(she made the move 3 weeks before me to start a new job) and life is looking like its gonna be alright

First run in a month. Out and back on power line trail

I ran around the boys Ranch/McLain rd/sparger trail and back. Found sparger trail by luck. Pretty cool asphalt trail about 2 miles from my house. Rather hilly and most of the trail is shaded and runs by nice creek. Will be hitting this up more often for sure

Life's been crazy busy. Working from home nd trying to take care of Frederick at the same time doesn not help with trying to stay fit. Finally had some energy/motivation today to at least lift some weights.

Slow day at the office and Frederick napping allowed me to get some miles in on the treadmill. That's right, I finally put it together. Normally I would avoid treadmills, but I'm stoked to have this option in my house!
